Instructions
DTF Transfers
Pressing Instructions:
Must have FIRM pressure with a Heat Press - not easy presses or irons
Recommended 70-90 psi
Heat Press to 280° (check your press with a heat gun to check if your press runs hot or cold - pressing DTF transfers too hot WILL ruin the adhesive and your transfers will not stick)
We recommend 3 presses
1st press - 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles
2nd press - Lay transfer on fabric and press 10-15 seconds (no cover sheet needed)
*Hot Peel Film - test a corner gently to ensure the film will peel easily.
3rd press - Cover with a Spare Cotton Tee (matte finish) or Teflon (shiny finish). Other options include Parchment paper, t-seal finishing sheets, Stahl's flexible silicon application pad, or 80 grit sandpaper. (A spare cotton tee is our preferred and most recommended)
Sublimation Transfers
Pressing Instructions:
Pre-heat Press to 385°-400° (recommended to check press with a heat gun to ensure accuracy with temperature gauge. Too hot or not hot enough, and your sub transfer will be dull)
Recommended 30 psi or light/medium pressure
Sublimation Transfers must be pressed all at once to avoid "ghosting".
- Place Transfer onto fabric or sub material and secure with heat tape
- Cover sub transfer with "blow paper" such as copy paper or butcher paper for excess ink to absorb and keep top platen of press clean (preventing transferring to your next project)
- Press 1 time at 385°-400° for 50-60 seconds (medium pressure)
- Remove and trash blow paper and sub transfer
- That's it!
